The rescue really does rely on your donations to continue. Cavaliers have so many serious health problems, often undiagnosed when they come into rescue. Our adoption fees do not come anywhere close to covering out vet fees. Some of the Cavaliers cannot be rehomed and will stay under the rescue for the rest of their lives.
We have had an increase in poorly dogs being surrendered due to owners finances and health. There has also been an increase in poor breeding practices, we are starting to see the effect of this with very sick puppies and yound dogs coming into rescue from inappropriate homes with behavioural problems.
