Rory is a handsome 4-year-old Blenheim Cavalier looking for his forever home.
He is a gorgeous boy both in looks and nature. He loves his hoomans and his foodables! He loves being around other Cavaliers and has gained confidence with them.
Unfortunately, Rory is extremely scared of being out and about in busy places with vehicles. He had not been well-socialised before coming to rescue and hadn’t been walked. Because of this, going out for a walk makes him very anxious. However, his amazing fosterers have been working so hard with him, and he is making steps forward. He even went to a coffee shop a few days ago! A rural home will be the most suitable place for Rory as he will not be able to walk through busy roads. He will need a lot of time and patience from his adopters.
Otherwise in the home he really is a dream boy, he loves snuggles on the sofa and being around his favourite people. He travels well in the car on the back seat with a harness and seat belt.
Rory is on inexpensive medication for Chiari malformation with pain. He has no other known health problems. He has had a dental with extractions while in rescue, is up to date with vaccines and parasite preventatives.
He isn’t cat tested. Children will need to be dog savvy and 10+ due to his anxiety and noise phobia.
Rory is in foster in North East Lincolnshire. His adopter(s) must be prepared to purchase a lifetime insurance policy or have the means to cover future health issues. Home workers must be able to produce a contract/or a letter from their employer. Tenants must send a letter from their landlord stating they have permission to have the dog at their property.
Please only apply when you have discussed this with all family members, are committed to offering the dog a home, and have fully considered their needs.
The successful applicants must travel to the foster home for a meet and greet. They should also be ready for a home check right away. The meet and greet must occur within five days of a successful home check. Can we please remind you not to telephone the rescue regarding adoptions at any time. You are more than welcome to email us with any [email protected]
