Red Ruby Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

Red is a sweet 5-year-old ruby Cavalier girl who came to rescue under sad circumstances from a loving family home. She is looking for a fun-filled forever home.

Despite her difficult start, she has settled brilliantly into her foster home and has enjoyed meeting her foster fur brothers. Red adores cuddles and even ‘talks’ to you while cuddling. She walks well on the lead, although she pulls a little initially due to the excitement of going out. She enjoys playing with her toys, especially loves bubbles, sleeps well at night, and thrives in the company of both people and dogs.

Red can be rehomed with or without other dogs, though she would certainly appreciate having a doggy playmate. She has not been tested with cats, but she can be around dog-savvy children old enough to play with her and help care for her as a loyal family dog.

She has a low-grade heart murmur that will need regular monitoring as she gets older, but it currently requires no treatment, and she has no other known medical issues. Red does need to lose some weight, this will be discussed during telephone interviews. She is up to date with parasite preventatives, and we have restarted her vaccines.

Red would be a wonderful addition to a home where someone is around most of the time to give her the love she needs. In return, she will shower her new family with all the love she has to offer.

Red is in foster in Wakefield, Yorkshire. Her adopter(s) must be prepared to purchase a lifetime insurance policy or have the means to cover future health issues. Home workers must be able to produce a contract/or a letter from their employer. Tenants must send a letter from their landlord stating they have permission to have the dog at their property.
Please only apply when you have discussed this with all family members, are committed to offering the dog a home, and have fully considered their needs.
The successful applicants must be able to travel to the foster home for the meet and greet and be immediately available for a home check. The meet and greet must occur within five days of a successful home check. Can we please remind you not to telephone the rescue regarding adoptions at any time.
