Beautiful little 6-year-old Pippi is available for adoption. Reduced adoption fee applies.
Pippi is an angel, you can take her anywhere, and she is the happiest little Cavalier! She is a love bug and really enjoys cuddles and lots of attention. There is nothing better for Pippi than to be sat on your lap on the sofa after she has had a busy day with walkies and exploring. She adores everyone that she meets and gets on great with other dogs.
She is a joy to walk; she very much enjoys socialising and being out and about. She travels extremely well. Pippi is full of beans and loves to sniff and explore new places. She can initially be a little nervous, for instance, when she goes to see the vet but is easily reassured by the other Cavaliers accompanying her. She can be left for short periods with no issues.
Pippi has chiari malformation pain, so is on medication for this. She has had an MRI and neurology assessment while in rescue. She also has dry eye, so she is on veterinary-prescribed eye drops.
Pippi has been under the cardiologist since her arrival as she has an AV heart block. She has an echocardiogram every six months to monitor things. She is currently stable and has been for some time now so we hope that is going to continue.
The rescue would cover veterinary fees in relation to her heart block, including repeat echocardiograms, which would need to be carried out where she goes now to her specialist cardiologist in Wakefield. More info to be discussed at telephone interview. She has mitral valve disease and a grade 3 heart murmur. She didn’t need medication at her last scan, but this will likely change soon.
Pippi needs a forever home with at least one confident dog of a similar age; she cannot cope without them. She is ok with cats and can live with children 6+.
Pippi is in foster in North Lincolnshire. Her adopters must purchase lifetime insurance or have the means to cover any future health issues. Home workers must be able to produce a contract from their employer. Tenants must send a letter from their landlord stating they have permission to have the dog at their property.
