About Phoebe
Phoebe is a gorgeous, 3 year old Cavalier girl that came into rescue due to high anxiety and behavioural issues in her previous home.
Very sadly Phoebe was adopted then had dominance issues with the resident female dog in her new home so came back into rescue. Phoebe has separation anxiety, we have been helping her with this and she can now be left with for short periods of time. She has been sleeping with her foster parents or will cry and bark all night so this must continue when she is adopted. It is likely when she is adopted she will take a few steps backwards so further training with the help of a behaviourist is likely to be needed. She is fully house trained, a sweet girl and loves to cuddle up to her humans. She loves her food and never leaves anything, so her new owner will need to monitor this and not feed her too much. She is so loveable and adores cuddling up to you on sofa, she needs to be close to her humans. She will bark at other dogs while out walking and needs further training, it could be a slow process but hopefully she will get there. She will need follow up training in her new home and classes would be good for her. She loves her walks and is fine until she sees a dog she doesn’t know. Her health is good aside from her anxiety problems.Phoebe ideally needs a rural or semi rural home without much passing traffic or people with a quiet household and someone who is around most of the day. She needs to be an only dog with all attention. She needs lots of reassurance, love and care. It will have to be a special home for her and we will wait until the right application comes in. She isn’t cat tested and children living and visiting the home must be over 10Phoebe is in foster in North Lincolnshire. The successful applicant must live within 90 minutes of the foster home.
