Nico- Adopted

Nico is a gorgeous 11 year old Cavalier boy that came into rescue with other Cavaliers from a pet home in sad circumstances.

He is looking for a loving retirement home with at least one other friendly Cavalier, he has been living with multiple other Cavaliers so needs a kind little pal. Nico is a very sweet boy but initially was a little nervous in his foster home. He is getting his confidence now and since being on pain relief for his spine pain/arthritis he feels much more comfortable and happy.

He likes a couple of 20 minute walks per day and loves to spend time in the garden sniffing everything. He travels very well in the car. He will give a little bark at dogs distance on his walks but is distracted easily with treats, he hasn't been well socialised outside of the home in his previous life. He is hard of hearing but is keen to watch and learn from his human.

Nico came to us with very bad, sore skin which we have addressed and he is now comfortable. Some scarring pigmentation is still present around his chest and bottom as a consequence of itching for so many years but this doesn't affect him. He has some pain in his spine, since starting an anti-inflammatory medication he is feeling fantastic- so he will need to remain on this for the rest of his life. His weight will need to be carefully monitored as any gain will affect his back. He is otherwise doing well and his heart is great for his age.

Nico will chase cats and doesn't particularly like them. He can be rehomed with children/visiting children over 10 years.

Nico is in foster in North Lincolnshire. You will be required to travel to her foster home for the meet and greet. More information regarding our latest Covid-19 protocol will be made available following a successful telephone interview and home check.
