Monty is 11 years old and is looking for a fun retirement home. A reduced adoption fee applies.
He is a cheeky, fun-loving guy and very laid back and easygoing. He enjoys his little walks a couple of times a day. He is very friendly to everyone he meets, including dogs. Monty isn’t like a typical oldie and enjoys playtime with toys and other dogs. He isn’t a fan of cats though!
Monty travels really well in the car and loves off-lead exploring in the secure paddock. He would love some nice trips out to the beach and new places to explore. He needs someone to show him an amazing time in his latter years and he will pay them back with so much love! He is a really good lad.
He still has about 4kg to lose, so his diet must be continued, and his adopter will need to be willing to join our online Cavalier Fat Club with him. He has a grade 4 heart murmur and has had an echocardiogram recently, and he is stable. He is on heart medication which of course, must be continued. Also, he is on a non-steroidal painkiller for arthritis which must be continued. He has had a very extensive dental and needed to have all of his teeth removed, and he does very well with low-fat wet food. He is now up to date with vaccinations and all parasite treatments.
He can be rehomed with children 8+, with or without other dogs but absolutely not with cats! His adopter must be around most of the time.
Monty is in foster in North Lincolnshire. His adopters must have the means to cover any future health issues. Home workers must be able to produce a contract OR a letter from their employer proving their work-from-home status. Tenants must send a letter from their landlord stating they have permission to have the dog at their property.
The successful applicants must be able to travel to the foster home for the meet and greet and be immediately available for a home check. The meet and greet must occur within 5 days of a successful home check. Please do not apply if you have a holiday booked in the near future.
