About Monty
Monty is a gorgeous 6 year old Cavalier that came into rescue from a pet home through no fault of his own.
Monty is a very sweet boy but does suffer with some anxiety. He has improved as time has gone on in his foster home and has just started to play with another dog and also with toys. Monty was shy when he came into rescue, but since being in foster he has become a confident loving dog. Monty will need a home as an only dog or with a female dog around the same age or older. He loves his walkies and cuddles, he needs to be with you for most of the day or he does get stressed and his adopter must be around all of the time. He hasn't been around children previously and because he suffers with anxiety he cannot be homed with children under 13. He does not like cats at all sadly. He has a grade 3 murmur, he has had an echocardigram which confirmed he has Mitral Valve Disease and some enlargement of his heart. He has just started Cardisure (Pimobendan) medication. He is currently not symptomatic and has plenty of energy. Monty will need time to adjust to his new home, but once he has gotten used to his new home he will be very loving. Please read our adoption procedure prior to filling in the online form. We are more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
