Marley is a very handsome 2-year-old tricolour Cavalier King Charles Spaniel boy who came into rescue from a loving pet home. He is looking for his forever home.
He is a sweet, gentle lad on the larger side for a Cavalier. Marley can be a little nervous when meeting new people and looks to his humans for confidence. He loves to follow you around the house, enjoys his walks, and likes to explore new places with lots of exciting smells.
⚠️ Due to past trauma in his life he can sometimes be reactive with certain dogs. This behaviour may need to be managed by consulting a behaviourist.
At night, Marley sleeps happily in his bed – either in the kitchen or by your bedside. During the day, he’s a laid-back boy who loves to lounge on the sofa or snuggle on your knee.
He does pull on the lead initially out of excitement, so would benefit from further training – especially on his recall, as he can be a bit cheeky and selectively deaf when it suits him! Marley travels well in the car for short distances, either in a crate or attached to a seat belt.
✅ He has been neutered while in rescue, and his parasite preventatives and vaccinations are all up to date. He is heart-clear and has no known health conditions.
Marley is fully housetrained and will quietly ask to be let out. He enjoys attention, being washed and brushed, and has a vocal, cheeky personality.
❌ He hasn’t been cat-tested.
Marley needs a home where someone is around most of the time, as he has slight separation anxiety and will bark – but he can be left for short periods without issue.
He could live with older, dog-savvy children as he gets excited and jumps up. Marley could be adopted as an only dog or live with a quiet, older companion dog.
