About Lily
Lily is a beautiful 10 year old Cavalier girl that came into rescue from a pet home due to a sad change in her owners circumstances.
Lily is a very sweet and cuddly girl, she is very loving and human orientated. She has always been an only dog and doesn't socialise with other dogs in her foster home so would be better suited in a home as an only dog with all her humans attention on her. She would prefer a home where she is invited upstairs at night to bed, she has been dropping hints to her foster mum!She is fully house trained and will ask to be let outside. She loves her walks so an active adopter is a must, she currently has 2x 45 minute walks a day at a steady pace and thoroughly enjoys them.Lily does have a few health problems as you would expect for a Cavalier of her age. She has Mitral Valve disease and is on medication for this, her murmur is currently a grade 4-5. She also has Fly Catchers syndrome which is worse when she is excited or stressed, she is on medication for this also. She has arthritis in her hip and spine, we have not done x rays as we couldn't warrant a risky anaesthetic. She is on pain relief for her arthritis. Lily is on a prescription diet as she previously had urinary tract crystals. She needs a loving, calm home and to be adored by her adopter. She cannot be rehomed with resident or visiting children under 10 years, she is not cat tested.Lily is in foster in Bishop Auckland in the North East. Her adoption fee has been reduced due to her medical conditions, this will be discussed during telephone interviews. You will be required to travel to her foster home for the meet and greet. More information regarding our latest Covid-19 protocol will be made available following a successful telephone interview and home check. Please read our adoption procedure prior to filling in the online form. We are more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
