About Libby
Libby is a 6 year old Tricolour Cavalier King Charles Spaniel that came into rescue from a pet home.
Libby has danced her way into the hearts of everyone here at Bliss, and now she’s ready to find her partners for life. Strictly Come Libby makes an appearance when this little girl wants your attention; she pops onto her hind legs and boogies excitedly on the spot. Craig Revel Horwood (who does love his Cavaliers, by the way) would undoubtedly say her rumba routine is ‘Fab-u-lous darling’.Libby does have a history of being very vocal, with lots to say to the television and while out walking – and her previous owners did seek behavioural help for this as they found her barking too much to cope with. We’ve seen the same issues in the house while she’s been on foster, but have found that diverting her attention onto something more interesting (like cuddles) works well. On her walks, she is a little grumbly about nothing in particular, but again can be easily distracted with a treat. She walks well on the lead, and has great recall to her name. She will need house training reminders. This, and her energy levels, mean she will need a home with a garden, for burn-offs and training.Libby is in good she’s in good health and has no heart murmur. She has had an inguinal hernia repaired and a dental. She is a healthy and energetic girl who would really thrive with an active family that loves a good walk. She thrives on being out and about, loves a good beach to go wild on, and could even be tried with agility if that’s what her new owners are into.Libby is living in a very doggy household on foster, and interacts really nicely with other dogs, reading them well, so she could definitely be a much-loved part of a multi-dog family. We’ve not seen her around children, but she has been gentle and friendly with all the people she’s met, so we think she could live with older children who will be respectful. She is not cat tested.Libby is in foster in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire. The successful applicants must be able to travel to foster home for the meet and greet.
