Jessie ruby Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

Jessie is a gorgeous 3-year-old ruby Cavalier; she came into rescue from a pet home.  She is searching for that forever home where she can get lots of attention, exercise, and a calm and peaceful household.

She is an absolute sweetheart, enjoys a cuddle on the sofa and laps up attention.  Jessie is full of energy and loves her walks and exploring. She is a little nervous in new situations and needs reassurance.  She is currently walking 3 times a day for 30 minutes at a time, enjoys the sniffing and the exploring, and is a joy to walk. She happily walks past other dogs, cats and birds without reaction. In between walks, she snoozes and follows you around the house and is not keen on being alone.

Jessie travels very well in the car on the back seat with a seatbelt harness, curls up in her bed and sleeps.  She enjoys meeting new people, and although cautious at first, she soon settles.  She is fully house-trained and responds well to basic commands.  At night she sleeps in her bed, but in the bedroom where she can see you and settles immediately.

She has lived with other dogs and equally, she is happy in foster as the only dog getting all the attention.  However, she will need her adopters to be around her most of the time and can only be left for very short periods.

At the moment, Jessie is heart clear and has no known health problems.

She is startled by sudden movement or noise in the home and can get anxious, so we are looking for a home where any resident or visiting children are over 12 years.

Jessie is in foster in Beverley, East Yorkshire. Her adopters must be prepared to purchase a lifetime insurance policy or have the means to cover any future health issues. Home workers must be able to produce a contract from their employer. Tenants must send a letter from their landlord stating they have permission to have the dog at their property.
The successful applicants must be able to travel to the foster home for the meet and greet and be immediately available for a home check. The meet and greet must occur within 5 days of a successful home check. Please can we remind you not to telephone the rescue regarding adoptions at any time, you are more than welcome to email us with any [email protected]
