Gorgeous Hugo, a Pug x Cavalier, has just turned 11 years young and is looking for a wonderful retirement home.

Hugo has a reduced adoption fee.

He came to the rescue in extremely sad circumstances, and we want to find his happy ending. He is an absolute little sweetheart, and he is a teeny little 6kg boy. Hugo is an all-around fabulous lad. He can be rehomed with or without other dogs.

Hugo is always ready for his next adventure. He’s not just a dog – he’s a beloved friend, a cheerful companion, and an explorer at heart. His sunny disposition and charming antics make him an irresistible presence, and you’ll find it hard not to fall in love with him.

Hugo is a gourmand who relishes his meals with gusto, showing off his love for good food at every opportunity. He’s not just a food lover, but a dreamer too, often found snoring blissfully in the comfort of our bed. This good sleeper knows how to enjoy a restful night, giving new meaning to the phrase ‘dog-tired’.

A walk with Hugo isn’t just a simple stroll; it’s an expedition into the world around him. His love for walking is insatiable, and he enjoys exploring the outdoors at every chance. Don’t be surprised if you find him eagerly wagging his tail at the sight of his lead – for Hugo, every walk is a new adventure.

Although he has an affinity for soft dog toys, they don’t usually last long under his enthusiastic play. But don’t worry, his spirited playfulness comes with a gentle nature. He’s good with other calm dogs, making him a compatible companion for your current Cavalier, or he can be rehomed as an only dog, basking in all your attention.

Hugo’s even-tempered nature shines through in his demeanour. He’s always happy, and friendly, and has never shown any signs of aggression. You’ll often find him enjoying his favourite pastime – watching TV, especially when there are animals on the screen. His cute grumbles at the TV animals are a charming quirk that is sure to make you smile.

A master of silent communication, Hugo is skilled at making his needs known. He politely asks to go outside by going to the back door and is not one to bark unnecessarily. His good recall ability makes him a joy to train, and he responds well to his name.

Despite his seemingly carefree personality, Hugo is not without his quirks. He’s a quiet fellow who isn’t one to bark for attention, making him a perfect companion for those seeking a calm and loving pet.

Hugo is up-to-date with his vaccinations, worming, and preventatives. He has a grade 2 heart murmur but doesn’t need medication at this time. He has no other known health problems.

Hugo is a heart-melting, loving soul with an infectious zest for life. Could you make him a part of your family’s adventure?
