About Honey
Honey is a super energetic and intelligent 6 month old Cavalier X Working Cocker Spaniel.
Honey is not for the faint hearted, she needs a really active home and is absolutely not a sofa dog. Very sadly Honey has already had 2 previous homes that couldn't give her what she needs so her adoptive home has to be perfect for her. She is looking for a Spaniel experienced home with another dog or dogs that like to play chase, wrestle and zoom around. She isn't every dogs cup of tea as she likes to get very close and wants to play rough with them and she does have some mouthing tendencies. She needs a lot of training and stimulation that would help burn some of her seemingly endless energy. She is very playful and not really a lap dog except for short periods when she is exhausted from play. She hasn't really done any lead training before arriving in rescue so her new home is going to need to put a lot of work in. At the moment the extent of her training is knowing how to sit, her recall needs a lot of work. It's very likely she would greatly benefit from doing agility or flyball when she's finished growing following basic puppy obedience training.Honey is currently in great health.Honey needs an energetic doggy buddy to play with her, teach her some doggy etiquette and a really committed family to train her. Her adopters must be around most of the time to keep her occupied or she will be up to mischief! She can go to a home with children 10+, no cats or small furries.Honey is in foster in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. The successful applicants must be able to travel to the foster home for the meet and greet and be immediately available for a home check.
