Faith is an almost 5-year-old, beautiful Tricolour Cavalier who came into rescue from a breeding establishment. She is ready for her forever home now.
She loves being around you at all times. She plays with toys but destroys them, pulling their ears, etc., off! Faith is doing really well with her house training and follows the resident dogs in the foster home.
She loves to walk but is still quite nervous and needs to be walked with a confident dog. She travels well in the car, in the back seat and in a crate. A confident resident dog around her age would really bring out her playful side, as we can see she wants to play.
Faith is heart clear but is on inexpensive medication for Chiari Malformation. She is on treatment for dry eye in one eye, which must be continued. She recently underwent a dental, which she has now fully recovered from. Unfortunately, she had a severe reaction to the NSAID painkiller used at the time of the procedure and was in ICU for a week after having a severe gastrointestinal haemorrhage. Since then, she has completely recovered and is back to her full of beans self. She is up to date with vaccinations and parasite preventatives.
She isn’t bothered by the resident cat until she is outside, then she will chase it. She is a nervous little girl, so she cannot be adopted with small children as they may not help her confidence. She would benefit from a quieter home with someone home most of the time.
Faith is in foster in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. His adopters must be prepared to purchase a lifetime insurance policy or have the means to cover any future health issues. Home workers must be able to produce a contract/or a letter from their employer. Tenants must send a letter from their landlord stating they have permission to have the dog at their property.
The successful applicants must be able to travel to the foster home for the meet and greet and be immediately available for a home check. The meet and greet must occur within 5 days of a successful home check. Can we please remind you not to telephone the rescue regarding adoptions at any time.
