Dave and Brian- Adopted

Dave is a 9 year old Blenheim and Brian a very small 7 year old Tri, they came into rescue from a pet home, sadly having a number of homes in recent times, through no fault of their own.

As you would expect these changes seem to have unsettled the boys and we are looking for a fantastic forever home where they will get exactly what they need in terms of love, stability, exercise and stimulation. The home has to be absolutely right for them.

Dave and Brian love their walks, at the moment they only have about 30 minutes as they have only just been allowed out again due to vaccination status and veterinary treatments. They are excited as they leave home but soon settle and do not react to other people or dogs, Brian will pull a bit. They are both walked on a harness.

Dave has started to briefly play with toys which is wonderful to see, Brian, as yet, has not shown any interest but they both love exploring the garden or snoozing on the sofa or in their beds. At night or if foster mum is out they sleep with her dogs in the kitchen. They travel well in the car with harnesses in dog beds.

They were both already neutered but have recently had a dental and had to have all their teeth removed, they are fed on soaked Burns Sensitive and manage very well. They are both heart clear which is wonderful at their ages. Dave has arthritis in all four limbs and is on pain relief for this and takes daily supplements. They both have some loss of hearing and sight, with Brian having some scarring on the cornea and Dave the beginnings of cataracts.

They are lovely dogs but Brian will grumble if others want to sit next to foster mum on the sofa or when their food is being prepared. He is not concerned when foster mum is cooking or eating. For this reason only it is felt they would be best as the only dogs in the house where they can be treated as little princes and any resident or visiting children should be 16+. They are not cat tested. Dave and Brian are lovely boys who deserve a 5* home after all the upheaval they have had.

The boys are in foster in Horncastle, Lincolnshire. The successful applicant will be required to travel to their foster home for the meet and greet. More information regarding our latest Covid-19 protocol will be made available following a successful telephone interview and home check.
