About Callie
Callie is a very sweet, but nervous 20-month-old Cavapoo. She is looking for a very special forever home.
Callie was going to be used for breeding but her nervous nature meant it wouldn't have worked out well for her or her potential pups. Very sensibly the breeder asked for help to find her a loving home for her.She is very nervous when meeting new people that come into the home and will bark. We haven't seen any aggression from her at all. When given plenty of space and being ignored by visiting humans she does come around pretty quickly. We feel Callie would greatly benefit from attending some puppy/dog training classes to gain some more confidence around new people and new dogs. She is fantastic with other dogs but can be quite bouncy and excitable, she is just a young girl so this is all to be expected. That said, she is in foster with dogs of varying ages and adjusts her behaviour to suit the situation. She would really like a young friend though to run around with and play with. She is great on the harness and will happily walk nicely with a confident dog. She would really enjoy some nice walks a couple of times a day and travels well in the car . Callie doesn't really know how to play with toys yet but that will come if she is encouraged. There is a whole new Callie inside that needs to be given confidence so that she can live her best life. She has mild separation anxiety and will initially bark when left, we have been working on this and she does now quickly settle. She has no known health problems.Callie isn't good with cats and does chase them. Due to her anxiety she cannot be with children under 12 years. Her adopters do need to be around for most of the day.Callie is in foster in North Lincolnshire. The successful applicants must be able to travel to foster home for the meet and greet.
