About Bonnie
Bonnie is a pretty 3 year old ruby Cavalier girl that came into rescue from a pet home.
She really enjoys playing with her doggy pals and would love a young-ish, full of beans friend in her forever home. She is great when meeting new people and very much loves a fuss from every person she meets! The bad bits - she doesn't like dogs that she doesn't know to get too close to her face. She is a thief and is known to steal items of clothing and shred or eat them given the opportunity so you would need to be mindful of this. Sometimes she does resource guard items so ideally her adopter will have some experience of resource guarding or be willing to continue training. She doesn't enjoy being groomed but with a treats on hand it is easier. She is a really sweet girl that wants to be adored by her humans. She is such a loyal, loving girl and she has come on leaps and bounds since her arrival. Her confidence grows daily. She prefers to be close to her humans at night time and would very much like to be invited to sleep with you.She is house trained and travels very well in the car. She is very good when visiting new places.Bonnie has a very subtle heart murmur, it is very difficult to hear it, if at all. She came into rescue very overweight and is doing fantastically well on a low fat diet. She has chiari malformation with pain, her symptoms are well controlled with medication- this is very inexpensive-she will need to remain on this. We were initially worried about her knees, she has had x rays while in rescue and things look good. The weight loss has had a drastic affect on her mobility, she now runs rather than waddling around which is wonderful. She needs to lose more weight yet and keep it off for the sake of her health.Bonnie's adopter needs to be around most of the time, she can be left for short periods with no issues. Children and visiting children must be 14+.Bonnie is in foster in North Lincolnshire. The successful applicants must be able to travel to foster home for the meet and greet.
