About Betty Boo

Betty Boo is a gorgeous black and tan Cavalier who will be 7 years old at the end of January. She came into rescue in sad circumstances from a pet home.

She is very well behaved in the house and fully house trained. Betty Boo is currently in foster with resident dogs and cats and gets on very well with them however could be an only dog as she loves to receive all the attention and is a true lap dog.

She has been around children and gets on well with them but would rather be curled up next to you, she is not a playful dog.

Betty Boo will get extremely excited whilst getting ready to go on a walk and becomes very vocal, this does calm down once out walking to an excited whimper. She walks extremely well on the lead by your feet but she does show aggression to other dogs whilst out, this has got better with some training. She would benefit from further socilisation in her forever home and her adopter must be prepared to carry out some training with her.

She travels well in the car with a harness and seat belt, she starts off vocal but she soon settles down. She has been left for short periods of time and is absolutely fine but would rather be with you at all times, she will follow you wherever you go. Her adopter must be home most of the time. She loves to be on or next to you at all times, she sleeps on the bed and has nothing but love to give.

Betty Boo is currently on heart medication for Mitral Valve Disease following an echocardiogram, she has a moderate heart murmur with some enlargement. She will need to remain on this and likely other medication as the condition progresses. She is doing extremely well currently and is very fit. She has also had an extensive dental while in rescue and a vaccine course.

Betty Boo is in foster in Pontefract, Yorkshire. The successful applicant must live within 90 minutes of the foster home. More information regarding our latest Covid-19 protocol will be made available following a successful telephone interview and home check.
