We have wonderful news, from today Monday 29th March 2021 we are able to proceed with adoption applications from all residents of England.
The government have announced the next stage of their roadmap today and are very cautiously easing restrictions. The ‘stay at home’ rule has been removed and a maximum of 6 people are now allowed to meet outdoors.
Scotland and Wales have a different schedule for lockdown easing so if you are a resident of either country you will not be allowed to apply at this time. Please keep an eye on your local government website for updates as to when you are allowed to travel outside of the country.
We really are so pleased with the new rules, it means we will receive more applications from far and wide for some dogs that are more difficult to rehome. We have many Cavaliers with incredibly challenging, long term health problems; local adoptions have really narrowed down the available homes for these dogs. We have also sadly suffered some abuse from members of the public during lockdown which we hope will now come to an end.
All adoption meet and greets will continue to be carried out outside in the fosterers garden.
Our fosterers must also be thanked once again for all their very hard work over the lockdown. They have needed to transport each dog to their new homes, on top of everything else they do this was a challenge at times.
