Adoption Donation
The non-refundable adoption donation is £525, unless a reduced fee is noted in the dog’s biography.
This donation only partially covers the costs of veterinary treatment, food, and transportation. Most Cavaliers arriving in rescue require extensive medical care.
Veterinary Care
Before adoption, all dogs will be:
- ✅ Vaccinated
- ✅ Microchipped
- ✅ Neutered/spayed (unless medically exempt)
- ✅ Treated for fleas & worms
- ✅ Provided with necessary vet care (e.g., dentals, heart scans, etc.)
After Submitting Your Application
Once we receive your application, you will get a confirmation email. If you do not receive this, please contact [email protected].
Due to the volume of applications, we cannot respond to every unsuccessful applicant.
The Adoption Process
- ✅ If your home fits the dog’s needs, we will contact you.
- ✅ A telephone interview will be arranged.
- ✅ A home check must be completed within 3 days of your interview.
- ✅ You may need to provide vet references & employment proof if working from home.
Meet & Greet
If your home check is successful, you will be invited to a meet-and-greet with the dog.
📍 The meet-and-greet will take place at the foster home, and all family members must attend, including existing pets.
⏳ This must be arranged within five days of passing your home check.

🐾 Bliss Cavalier Rescue does not reserve dogs for future adoption. If you have a holiday planned, it’s best to apply once you’re back and ready to welcome a dog into your home. The rescue prioritises placing dogs in homes as soon as they are ready to be adopted to ensure they settle in as quickly as possible.
