About Buddy
Buddy is a very handsome little chap that came into rescue in sad circumstances as his owner passed away.
Buddy is a gorgeous black and tan boy, he is 4 years old. He needs to be close and needs his humans to be with him for most of the day. He is a real cuddle monster and requires so much love and attention from his humans. He has some separation anxiety but can be left for short periods as long as he is with his friends. He needs to be close to his adopters at night time, it is unlikely he would settle otherwise- we have tried! He hasn't been well socialised so does bark at other dogs on walks but does thoroughly enjoys his walks. He is quite vocal in the car and when getting his harness and lead on, we feel this is due to not being walked in his previous home and we hope he will improve. He will need to continue training in his forever home and would really benefit from socialisation classes.Buddy has Chairi Malformation with pain so is on pain relief and will need to remain on this for the rest of his life. He also has a luxating knee- at this time it isn't causing any problem. He cannot be rehomed with children or visiting under 10 as he is not used to children at all. He will chase and bark at cats. He absolutely must have at least one resident Cavalier in his forever home to continue to build his confidence. He would also benefit from some training classes so he can continue to explore the world without fear so this is a condition of adoption.Buddy is in foster in North Lincolnshire. The successful applicant will be required to travel to his foster home for the meet and greet. More information regarding our latest Covid-19 protocol will be made available following a successful telephone interview and home check. Please read our adoption procedure prior to filling in the online form. We are more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
