About Amy
Amy is a very sweet little 4 year old Bichon Frise and came from a pet home where she had been living with other dogs.
Amy came into rescue from a home with many other with other dogs so she will need a home with at least one resident dog, ideally a Cavalier. She can be a timid little girl at times so needs an owner willing to build her confidence and to dedicate lots of time to her. She walks very well on her lead but at times can be timid and will hide behind her foster mums legs. At this moment in time she is a 'flight risk' so she cannot go off lead until her adopter is very confident she is ready and lots of recall training has been done with her, this may take many months. She is very timid with strangers at times and bigger, stronger dogs due to lack of socialisation. She is beginning to love her walks and needs approx one hour per day but can happily do 5 mile walks, the more active her new home the better for her.Her health is good. She came into rescue with very severe ear infections which have now been treated and a nasty tummy bug which she has recovered from.Amy isn't used to cats. She absolutely must have other dog friends in her new home and no resident or visiting children under 5 years. Amy is in foster in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. You will be required to travel to her foster home for the meet and greet. More information regarding our latest Covid-19 protocol will be made available following a successful telephone interview and home check. Please read our adoption procedure prior to filling in the online form.
