Trixie and Penny- Adopted

Trixie and Penny came into rescue due to a change in their owners circumstances.

Trixie (8) and Penny (10) are two gentle, calm, older ladies who are looking for a 5* home together. They came from a pet home in sad circumstances and had not been used to walks. They are thoroughly enjoying them and are gradually building up their stamina. They walk nicely and like lots of sniffs!!! Trixie will very occasionally bark at other dogs when out but will stop when told “no”.

They love pottering around the garden, they are beginning to play with the other dogs. Trixie enjoys a rest on the sofa!! Trixie is on a strict diet and is gradually losing weight, her diet would need to be continued in her new home until she reaches her optimum weight. Trixie and Penny are house trained and at night sleep with foster mums dogs in the kitchen. The girls travel well in the car in their harnesses on the back seat. They are loving, affectionate girls and are a joy to foster.

The girls have both had echocardigrams while in rescue and extensive dentals. Penny has a grade 4 heart murmur and has just started on Cardisure. Trixie is also on Cardisure for a grade 3 murmur, she had a non malignant tumour removed and a cyst lanced. Trixie has a bit of arthritis in her left shoulder and foster mum is giving her Jointsure, she is also showing mild signs of Chiari malformation and has just started on Loxicom for this which is really helping her.

They get excited when they see cats and have not been with children so a home with no, or older children would be preferred.

The girls are in foster in Horncastle, Lincolnshire. The successful applicant will be required to travel to their foster home for the meet and greet. More information regarding our latest Covid-19 protocol will be made available following a successful telephone interview and home check.
