Barney and Reilly- Adopted

Barney and Reilly came into rescue from a pet home in sad circumstances.

Barney is the black and tan boy, he is 5 years old. Reilly is the ruby boy, he is 6 years old. The boys are best friends and absolutely must be rehomed together- please do not apply unless you can offer both a home together.

The boys are both super friendly and are happy to meet both dogs and people when out and about. They are both sweet and very loving especially Reilly, Barney is a little more independant and enjoys his own space.

The boys do suffer with seperation anxiety, they have been improving but this will be a long process so they cannot be left for too long, their adopter must be around most of the time.

They do tend to bark when they are excited on walks and when travelling in the car, they are getting better with this and will improve further as they get used to their routine. They are currently walking for 40-60 minutes at the moment and are enjoying this length of walk, they do further walks on some days and this in turn is really helping with their level of energy and excitement.

Barney has a grade 4 heart murmur, he had an echocardigram last week confirming MVD and has started Vetmedin. Reilly also has MVD, his heart murmur is currently grade 4, he has also strated Vetmedin. Both boys are in stage B2 and not symptomatic in any way, we believe they will do very well on their heart medication. Reilly has dry eye and is having treatment for this which will need to continue for the rest of his life.

The boys need a home with resident and visiting children of 10+ as Barney does enjoy his own space. They do not like cats at all.
