Gabby and Gatsby- Adopted

Gatsby and Gabby are 15 month old cavalier x siblings, these two share a really special bond.

They are looking for a home together where someone can offer them lots of time, love, understanding and patience.

Gabby is a very dainty girl and the more confident of the two. She walks quite nicely on a lead but is still very nervous of new situations and surroundings to begin with, she needs lots of reassurance. When she first arrived she was quite unsure about any affection offered to her, she will now happily enjoy a cuddle under Gatsby’s watchful eye. She’s very dog friendly and also cat friendly. Gabby will chew the odd thing if she’s given the opportunity to! Her little personality is just starting to show now, she’s a cheeky, playful girl and with continued understanding and patience her confidence will continue to grow.

Gatsby loves his sister to the moon and back again, he really worries if he can’t see or be near her. He’s such a nervous boy and will need someone who has lots of time and understanding to help continue to build his confidence up. Gatsby loves other dogs and is very playful when around them, humans however he is very unsure of, they are still very scary to him. He panics when faced with any new situation or stranger, any sudden movement or noise. He will let you give him a gentle cuddle now, and he gets so excited to see you in a morning now. I do think in time his confidence will continue to grow but it’s going to be a slow process, we are slowly gaining his trust and also Gabby’s. There’s no aggression from this sweet boy he just literally turns to jelly with fear. Gatsby will reluctantly walk on a lead, it’s all very new to him still, he constantly looks to Gabby for reassurance.

They aren’t 100% house trained yet but we are making good progress with this, they will need continued encouragement with this. Both love to snuggle up together in their crate at night and settle down well. When out in the garden they love to play together, Gatsby bounds about like a spring lamb and seems to forget all his worries.

They are going to need a home where someone with a lot of patience is around most of the time, any children would need to be 12+.
