Poppy Tricolour Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
Poppy is a darling 4 year old Tricolour Cavalier with the cutest quiff of hair! She came into rescue in sad circumstances and is looking for a wonderful forever home, either with or without other dogs.
She is a little cuddle monster and can be super playful! She loves her walks, although she cannot go off lead without some training as her recall is terrible! She travels extremely well in the car’s back seat with her harness plugged into her seat belt and enjoys a trip out.
Poppy can initially be a bit nervous in new situations, but she is improving as she goes out and meets more people. She is fantastic with other dogs but needs to be fed separately as she eats very fast! She had some food guarding issues in her previous home. However, these can be easily managed by feeding her separately from other dogs. This is not a problem with humans at all.
She is heart clear at the moment. Poppy has chiari malformation with pain and dry eye, for which she needs to remain on lifelong medication. Her tummy can be sensitive, so she is on a hydrolysed diet, which she enjoys. She is spayed and up to date with vaccinations and parasite preventatives.
Poppy is not cat tested. She can be rehomed with or without other dogs and children over 12.
She is such a sweet girl, looking for a wonderful home where she can be spoiled with loads of attention and lovely walkies.
Poppy is in foster in North Lincolnshire. Her adopter(s) must be prepared to purchase a lifetime insurance policy or have the means to cover future health issues. Home workers must be able to produce a contract/or a letter from their employer. Tenants must send a letter from their landlord stating they have permission to have the dog at their property.
Please only apply when you have discussed this with all family members, are committed to offering the dog a home, and have fully considered their needs.
The successful applicants must be able to travel to the foster home for the meet and greet and be immediately available for a home check. The meet and greet must occur within five days of a successful home check. Can we please remind you not to telephone the rescue regarding adoptions at any time. You are more than welcome to email us with any [email protected]
