Rooster is a playful two-year-old ruby Cavalier boy who came into rescue through no fault of his own. He is looking for his forever home.
He has settled wonderfully into his foster home, enjoying playtime with his toys and the resident dogs. Like most Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Rooster loves climbing onto his human’s lap for a cuddle. While he hasn’t been bothered by the resident cat, he is quite interested in the tortoise and tends to bark at it.
Rooster walks very well on the lead but can get a little overexcited when approached by other dogs, occasionally flinging himself around with enthusiasm. However, he quickly calms down. He is a fit, energetic young dog who would thrive in an active home that can give him the exercise he needs.
Rooster travels very well in the back seat of the car with a seatbelt and harness. He is comfortable being left at home for short periods without any issues.
He is in good health, but his new owner should be fully aware of the common health concerns in Cavaliers. He can be homed either as an only dog or with other resident dogs.
