Skye is a gorgeous, small, 3-year-old Cavalier who has had a rough start to her short life. She is looking for a special forever home.
She is quite nervous around people and will need an understanding and quiet home. Skye will also need a confident resident dog to help her grow in confidence. She is so laid-back, though, and just wants to be loved and cuddled.
Skye is still learning to walk on the lead and can be quite stubborn and sit down when she no longer wants to walk, although she loves to run around in the secure field. Skye travels well in the car on the back seat with a seatbelt.
Unfortunately, she is symptomatic of chiari malformation with pain and is on inexpensive medication, which is helping with her symptoms. She has had a dental with extractions and has been spayed in rescue. She has no other known health conditions at this time.
Skye has shown no interest in the resident cat, so she could be rehomed with a cat without issues. We are looking for a home for her with no children or visiting children, but she could be rehomed with dog-savvy teenagers. Skye is such a quiet and laid-back girl who deserves her happiness ever after in a loving home. She will get lots of love and cuddles at her pace.
Skye is in foster in Huddersfield, Yorkshire. Her adopter(s) must be prepared to purchase a lifetime insurance policy or have the means to cover future health issues. Home workers must be able to produce a contract/or a letter from their employer. Tenants must send a letter from their landlord stating they have permission to have the dog at their property.

The successful applicants must be able to travel to the foster home for the meet and greet and be immediately available for a home check.
