Cooper is a small, playful 3-year-old Cavalier cross that came into rescue from a pet home. We think he may be a Cavalier crossed with a Papillon. He is looking for a wonderful forever home.
He is a very sweet boy who loves to be with his humans and have lots of cuddles on your knee.
Cooper is a little nervous meeting new people and will bark, if ignored he soon gains his confidence and approaches to happily be fussed and cuddled. He needs a confident adopter who will spend time helping him to improve his confidence with further socialisation. He walks well on a lead but will bark if male dogs approach him or feel overwhelmed. Cooper travels well in the car, either in a crate or attached to a seat belt. He is crate trained and sleeps happily at night in the crate or wherever he is allowed and can be left for short periods without any issues.
He can be rehomed as an only dog or with another friendly female dog. He is not cat tested, and he will respect his space due to his nervousness with dog-savvy children 12+. He has recently been neutered, has no known health issues, and is up to date with parasite preventatives and vaccinations.
Cooper is in foster in Scarborough, North Yorkshire. His adopter(s) must be prepared to purchase a lifetime insurance policy or have the means to cover future health issues. Home workers must be able to produce a contract or letter from their employer. Tenants must send a letter from their landlord stating they have permission to have the dog at their property.
Please only apply when you have discussed this with all family members, are committed to offering the dog a home, and have fully considered their needs.
The successful applicants must be able to travel to the foster home for the meet and greet and be immediately available for a home check. The meet and greet must occur within five days of a successful home check. Can we please remind you not to telephone the rescue regarding adoptions at any time.
