Marley Tricolour Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

Marley is an older gentleman, almost 11 years old, who is looking for his perfect retirement home. A reduced adoption fee applies.

He’s got a sweet and charming personality, and though he came to us from a family home under sad circumstances, he’s full of love. Marley enjoys the company of people, gets along well with other dogs, and absolutely loves his food—breakfast is the highlight of his day!

He’s a fan of short walks, preferring paths to uneven ground. At night, he sleeps peacefully in his own bed in his foster mum’s bedroom, though he needs a bit of help getting upstairs. He also needs a hand getting on and off the sofa but often prefers lounging on the floor, where he has more freedom. Marley isn’t much of a lapdog, but he adores attention, especially head scratches—he’ll even tap your feet for more!

Marley can be left alone for short periods. He may bark at first but settles down quickly. Sometimes, he’ll bark when you leave the room, as he can’t hear and doesn’t always know where you are, but he’s more than happy to follow you around if you don’t mind.

He has some health conditions: SM, which is well-managed with pain relief, and allergies, controlled by Cytopoint injections. Bliss will cover medication for these conditions, but adopters must take care of any other future medical needs. His heart is clear, he has had a dental while in rescue, and he is up-to-date with his vaccinations and parasite treatments.

Despite his age, Marley still has so much love to give. His funny quirks, cheeky behaviour, and charming personality bring joy to his foster mum every day. He truly deserves a lovely retirement home.

Children 13+ only.

Marley is in foster in Wakefield, Yorkshire. His adopter(s) must have the means to cover future health issues. Home workers must be able to produce a contract/or a letter from their employer. Tenants must send a letter from their landlord stating they have permission to have the dog at their property.
Please only apply when you have discussed this with all family members, are committed to offering the dog a home, and have fully considered their needs.
The successful applicants must be able to travel to the foster home for the meet and greet and be immediately available for a home check. The meet and greet must occur within five days of a successful home check. Can we please remind you not to telephone the rescue regarding adoptions at any time.
