Tasha is a 2-year-old Tricolour Cavalier who came to the rescue through no fault of her own. She is looking for a wonderful forever home with an adopter who is home most of the time.
We need to inform you that we have had hundreds of emails and messages regarding Tasha, so we expect a high volume of applications. Please be aware there is only one Tasha, and we cannot please everyone. Do not telephone the rescue regarding your application, please. We will be going through applications today and will telephone today, so if you do not hear from us, then unfortunately, you have not been successful for this dog, however, there are other dogs looking for their forever homes too.
She loves her walks and needs at least two long walks daily to burn off her energy and have plenty of sniffs. Tasha walks well on her lead but can be vocal when interacting with other dogs. We are looking for an active home for her where she can socialise and be taken to different places. We think she would very much enjoy some training, perhaps in a group class set-up to help he anxiety when meeting new dogs when out and about.
Tasha has settled well in her foster home but is not house-trained. Therefore, the new owner will need patience and the ability to house-train her. Her previous owner and fosterer have been working hard on this, but that work will need to be continued in her forever home.
She is a very young girl who loves to play but has shown resource guarding with food and toys. As a result, she cannot be rehomed with children.
Tasha is currently very fit and healthy at the moment, being a young dog, but prospective adopters should know that health issues could develop as she ages. She is spayed and up to date with vaccinations and preventatives.
She did get along with cats in her previous home, but she has chased the cats in her foster home, so applicants need to be mindful there could be issues. She cannot be rehomed with children under 12 and her adopters must be around most of the time. She can live with or without other dogs.
Tasha is in foster in Boroughbridge, North Yorkshire. Her adopters must be prepared to purchase a lifetime insurance policy or have the means to cover any future health issues. Home workers must be able to produce a contract/letter from their employer. Tenants must send a letter from their landlord stating they have permission to have the dog at their property.
