Tia is a 7-year-old black and tan Cavalier looking for her forever home.
Her lovely sister, Pebbles, is also in rescue, and we would love to find them a home together, but we are also realistic that it may not be possible in the current financial climate. Read Pebble’s profile here.
She really is an absolute little sweetheart, and she came from a family home in extremely sad circumstances. She has been a joy in her foster home, happily napping and playing with toys. She has gotten on well with her foster fur brothers and seems to be happy around other dogs, as long as they don’t pester her, or she shies away. She sleeps well at night and is house-trained. She has a funny personality and is very sweet and cuddly.
She is a small Cavalier that fits perfectly on your lap in the evening after she is worn out from her walk. She loves walks and is doing 45-60 minutes every day. As soon as she sees her harness, her tail wags.
While in foster, it’s been noticed that she has some hearing loss but can hear a loud clap to get her attention. It doesn’t affect her quality of life. She has had a full health check while in foster, and it was found that she has mitral valve disease. She currently has a grade 3 murmur. Following an echocardiogram, it has been found that she will not need medication at this point. She will need a further scan in 6 months to monitor for any enlargement.
She is a sweet, quiet little girl that is looking for a quiet, easy-going home. She is happy with visitors and dog visitors as long as they don’t pester her. Tia can be homed with dog-savvy children 8+.
