She is beautiful by name and beautiful by nature. She is an absolute sweetheart and loves a cuddle on your lap. She is full of energy and loves her walks and exploring. She is currently walking 3 times a day for 40 minutes at a time and enjoys the sniffing and the exploring and is a joy to walk. She happily walks past other dogs without reaction.
Beau follows you around the house between walks and is not keen on being alone. She is very human-orientated and loves to greet new people. She travels very well in the car on the back seat with a seatbelt harness, curls up, and sleeps.
She is fully house-trained and responds well to basic commands. At night she sleeps in her bed but in the bedroom where she can see you and settles immediately.
Beau is happy here in foster as the only dog getting all the attention. However, she will need her adopters to be around her for most of the time and can only be left for short periods. We believe she will live equally well with other calm dogs too. She needs to live with people who can take her with them the majority of the time. She behaves well in cafes and dog-friendly shops and needs to be with her humans as much as possible.
Sadly, Beau has a very low grade heart murmur, currently grade 1-2. She has chiari malformation with pain so is on inexpensive pain relief (approx £5 per month with vet prescription) She is having a dental with extractions and is being spayed prior to adoption.
Beau is in foster in Beverley, East Yorkshire. Their adopters must be prepared to purchase a lifetime insurance policy or have the means to cover any future health issues. Home workers must be able to produce a contract from their employer. Tenants must send a letter from their landlord stating they have permission to have the dog at their property.
