Petal is a beautiful 1-year-old Tricolour Cavalier looking for a special forever home.
Since her arrival in rescue, she has been on a big journey, and she came with very little sight at all. Thanks to our wonderful supporters, she had bilateral cataract surgery and is doing fabulously well!
Petal is a timid girl and is looking for a home with another confident Cavalier. It is time for Petal to become someone’s princess, be spoiled, and shown that life isn’t scary. Since she regained her sight her confidence has improved so much!
She is very sociable with other dogs and does rely on them. She enjoys sleeping on the humans bed at night! She has a cheeky and playful side that we have seen more recently.
She will need to remain on eye drops for the rest of her life and will need follow-ups with her specialist ophthalmologist periodically. Sadly she also suffers with chiari malformation but does extremely well on pain relief.
Petal is in foster in North Lincolnshire. Her adopters must be prepared to purchase a lifetime insurance policy or have the means to cover any future health issues. Home workers must be able to produce a contract from their employer. Tenants must send a letter from their landlord stating they have permission to have the dog at their property.
