Tammy is looking for a wonderful retirement home. A reduced adoption fee applies.
She is 11 yrs old and is a sweet and loving girl. She likes nothing more than cuddling up to you on the sofa. Tammy is great with other dogs and simply adores meeting people; she really wants to be friends with everyone.
Tammy loves being with her humans wherever they go and can be rehomed as an only dog or with an older calm dog. She enjoys her short walks and being in the garden. She is an older girl, not in the best health, so she doesn’t need much exercise. She just needs a loving home where she can be a diva princess.
Sadly, Tammy is almost deaf, but she copes just fine with this. She has very mild separation anxiety, but this has improved, and she can be left for short periods.
As you would expect for an older Cavalier, Tammy does have some health problems. She has mitral valve disease and is on medication for this. She also has arthritis in her knees and hips, for which she is on pain relief, which also covers her chiari pain. She came into rescue grossly overweight so does need to continue with her diet. The rescue can contribute towards her medication, to be further discussed with the applicant.
She will make a great companion and give so much love to her wonderful adopters. She needs to be loved and spoiled in her senior years. She can live with children 12+, she is not cat tested.
Tammy is in foster in Elsecar, South Yorkshire. Her adopters must have the means to cover any future health issues. Home workers must be able to produce a contract from their employer. Tenants must send a letter from their landlord stating they have permission to have the dog at their property.
