About Sam and Lottie
Lottie and Sam came into rescue together although they are not a bonded pair.
They are quite the opposite of each other with Lottie being very good at all times including when she is being walked. Sam is a very anxious dog, I cannot emphasise that enough. He hasn't been socialised properly in early life therefore struggles with separation anxiety and when meeting dogs when he is out walking. Sam will bark and scream when dogs come into view. He is also deaf so this does not help him. However he is good with other dogs once he gets to know them. He would really benefit from living rurally on a smallholding preferably where he simply does not come into contact with many other dogs or stressful situations and it is better to walk him alone.Sam is deaf. He does not heave a heart murmur. He does have a luxating patella, he has had x rays while in rescue with us and our vet does not feel requires surgery but instead would benefit from losing weight and keeping trim, anti inflammatory medication when required and Yumove supplements.Lottie has a grade 3-4 heart murmur with some enlargement of her heart. She has had an Echocardiogram and x rays while in our care and has started Vetmedin (pimobendan) as per the Epic protocol. She will need to be on heart medication for the rest of her life and her heart will need to be checked every 6 months. Sam is such a sweet boy, he loves cuddles and it is such a shame he suffers to badly with anxiety. This could improve in time but there is no guarantee that it will. Lottie just loves life and wants a lovely family so she can be adored 24/7.They cannot live with children under 8 years old are not cat tested. Please read our adoption procedure prior to filling in the online form.
