About Pippa
6 year old, Tricolour Cavalier Pippa recently arrived into our care from a breeding establishment.
She is a nervous little girl when meeting new people and in new situations, she does settle and adapt quite quickly though once she starts to relax. She loves to chill out on the sofa beside you and is happy to ask for and accept gentle cuddles. She can be a little bit anxious at times, she likes to be with you and to know you are close by. Ideally Pippa would like to sleep close to her humans. She is good when left for short periods of time and she does travel well in the car.Pippa loves the company of other dogs so she will need at least one little friend in her forever home. She can be a little vocal in the garden but we are working on this with her. She is still quite nervous when out walking so will need patience and understanding to help her gain confidence with this. At the moment she is happy with a couple of short walks a day in quiet areas, this can be built up for her over time.Pippa has a grade 4 heart murmur and has had an echocardiogram whilst in rescue. She is not symptomatic and no medication is required at this time, she will however need this repeating again in 6 months time. She has chiari malformation with pain so is on inexpensive pain relief for this.Pippa can live alongside cats. There must be at least one confident resident fdog in her forever home. She wouldn’t be comfortable to live with small children though due to her nervous nature, any resident of visiting children need to be 10+Pippa is in foster in North Lincolnshire. The successful applicants must be able to travel to the foster home for the meet and greet and be immediately available for a home check.
