About Bear

Bear is a sweet little 10 month old Cavapoo that came into rescue from a breeder due to health problems.

Bear is a super cute little pup, there is no denying that, but he is absolutely full of beans, needs a LOT of stimulation and will not be happy sitting on a sofa all day. He has been having a wonderful time while in foster with the other pups racing around, wrestling and playing all day long. He is a noisy pocket rocket and can jump so high!

Bear came into rescue as he could not be sold with his litter mates as he had multiple seizures from a very young age. Thankfully he has not had any further seizures since August 2021, however this could of course change so his adopter must be mindful of the potential financial commitment needed. Insurance will not cover pre-existing conditions. He has been tested for a liver shunt, the tests came back negative so it is looking likely that he has juvenile epilepsy which we hope he has grown out of now. He has been neutered, had a deciduous tooth removed and is up to date with vaccines and worming etc.

Bear needs to attend puppy training classes and have further socialisation with his adopter. He enjoys barking when he's out in new and different situations, as he is socialised more this should improve.

He has more of a Poodle personality than Cavalier, he is very sprightly and energetic and enjoys walking around on his back legs like a meerkat! He is highly intelligent and very curious. He doesn't like being left alone and can be very vocal- we have been able to leave him short periods and when with his friends he is calm after a few minutes.

He would prefer a home with another playful dog(s) that won't mind being wrestled etc! He is fine to be rehomed with children and a dog savvy cat.

Bear is in foster in North Lincolnshire. The successful applicants must be able to travel to foster home for the meet and greet.
