About Nelly and Willow
Nelly and Willow are 2.5 year old sisters from the same litter, they came into rescue from a pet home.
Nelly is the ruby, Willow is the black and tan. As you can imagine from their ages they are fun loving girls, who love pottering and racing round the garden. They have their favourite toys which they carry around and chase if they are thrown. Nelly and Willow are cuddle monsters who love sitting on your knee and being held like babies. Both girls love their walks, and pull on the lead and Willow is quite vocal, but only with excitement, they are improving with each walk and get better the further you go.Nelly and Willow travel well on the back seat of the car. Willow was travel sick the first couple of times but hasn't been since, so it was probably stress. At night they will sleep in the kitchen with the other dogs, they prefer to sleep in a crate as that is what they are used to. They are fine being left for short periods. Nelly and Willow are house trained and will bark if they need to go out to the toilet. The girls are both heart clear, Willow’s knees both luxate on manipulation and Nelly’s left but this does not give rise to concern at the moment. Nelly shows some discomfort when her hips are manipulated and should be monitored. Keeping them both at a good weight will help the situation but as these problems are classed as 'pre-existing' for insurance purposes this must be carefully considered with financial implications in mind.Nellie and Willow came from a home with children and a cat so may be rehomed with a dog savvy cat and children. A quiet environment for walking would in particular help Willow. They really are lovely girls and have been no trouble to foster.Nelly and Willow are in foster in Horncastle, Lincolnshire. The successful applicants must be able to travel to foster home for the meet and greet.
